Puglia\u2019s capital is Bari, the largest city in the region.&nbsp;Just over four million people live there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Puglia is bordered on its eastern flank by the Adriatic Sea, which separates Italy from the Western Balkans, including Croatia, Montenegro, and Albania.&nbsp;The end of the \u201cheel\u201d of the boot extends the Ionian Sea, beyond which are the Greek coasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Which airport to go to Puglia?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Puglia region has several airports.&nbsp;Two should be of particular interest to you:&nbsp;<strong>Bari-Palese Airport<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;in Bari, the main one in the region where international flights arrive, and&nbsp;<strong>Brindisi-Casale Airport<\/strong>, which is perfectly positioned for reaching the Salento region, in the very south. proudly on the cliffs above turquoise blue water, not far from Bari.&nbsp;You will quickly understand why the city has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There is Gargano<\/strong>, too, of course.&nbsp;This mountain range juts nearly 70km into the sea and is nicknamed \u201cthe spur of Italy\u201d.&nbsp;It is home to the Gargano National Park, ideal for beautiful walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are white towns of\u00a0<strong>Alberobello<\/strong>, renowned for its trulli<strong>, Locorotondo or even Martina Franca<\/strong>, perched high in the hills and surrounded by unmissable olive groves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Not to mention the Torre Guaceto<\/strong>\u00a0nature reserve, a migration site for many birds from the Southern Hemisphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, don\u2019t forget&nbsp;<strong>Bari<\/strong>,
