sciences.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cac.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-penci-link=\"external\">The Ciutat de les Arts i Ci\u00e8ncies de Val\u00e8ncia<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia) is one of the most spectacular cultural and scientific exhibition centres in Europe.\u00a0The complex includes examples of where the official business of the city is conducted.&nbsp;A wide balcony overlooks the square, providing a prime spot to watch the Las Fallas fireworks.&nbsp;The building also houses the city&#8217;s and sports facilities.\u00a0It winds through the city centre, from the Bioparc (read below) to the City of Arts and Sciences, and finally to the sea. During the summer, locals come here to exercise, picnic, and party, and the long ribbon of greenery is popular with everyone from runners and cyclists to families and nature lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n<div district.\u00a0Located in the circular courtyard of a pretty house, there are craft stalls, pubs, and caf\u00e9s.\u00a0You might not want to stay too long, however, as some of these restaurants have a reputation for overcharging visitors, though the patio itself has a nice atmosphere and is an uncommon place to visit.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img Cathedral<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another must-see in Valence is its\u00a0<strong>cathedral<\/strong>.\u00a0Located in the Plaza de la Reina, it is perhaps more known for its claim to house the Holy Grail than for its architecture, although it is still fabulous.\u00a0The religious building was erected on the site of a former mosque in 1262 and displays a variety of artistic features from different periods: Romanesque, Baroque, and Gothic.\u00a0The interior of the cathedral impresses tourists, though some do complain about the price of admission.\u00a0We strongly advise you to take an audio guide, so as not to lose out on any of the richness of the place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#efefef\">\u2753 <strong>But what is the Holy Grail?&nbsp;<\/strong>Since 1437, Valencia Cathedral has housed a relic believed to be the Holy Grail, the cup used by Jesus Christ and his twelve disciples during the Last Supper, which collected the blood of Christ.&nbsp;It would have been sent from Rome to Spain by Saint&nbsp;Laurent in 258.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\" 10,000 pieces and includes works by Julio Gonz\u00e1lez and Ignacio Pinazo, among others, focuses on the 20th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bioparc Valencia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioparcvalencia.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-penci-link=\"external\"><strong>Bioparc Valencia<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is a 10-hectare zoo located in the northwest of the city.\u00a0However, it is not an ordinary zoo, but an interactive one, meaning it eliminates many of the barriers that most of these parks build between different animals, including humans.\u00a0Species that naturally (and safely) coexist in the wild are grouped together, while other &#8220;friendly&#8221; species, such as lemurs, can interact with humans.\u00a0Some barriers are camouflaged to give tourists the impression that they are in the middle of nature.\u00a0Animals like zebras, Nile crocodiles, giraffes,
