Christmas market of Strasbourg
With its more than 300 chalets and three fir trees, the Strasbourg Christmas market is undoubtedly one of the best known in France and Europe. Christmas market of Montbeliard
This Christmas market, located in Montbéliard, in the Doubs (East), consists of 150 chalets. You will certainly come across figures of tradition, such as that of Santa Claus of course, but also those, more regional, of Countess Henriette de Wurtemberg or Saint Nicolas.

Christmas market of Colmar
Here is one of the most famous Christmas markets in Alsace and one of the most beautiful in France. Finally one … it is more about four places of festivities that can be visited through a circuit, going from the Place Jeanne d’Arc (very focused on gastronomy) to the Place des Dominicains. There is also a lot of crafts, including beautiful wooden toys.

Christmas market of Reims
The city of kings is also a little like that of Santa Claus. Between the Kingdom of Children, the Ferris wheel in Place d’Erlon, the Christmas and Kings Fair, the various parades and events, you will not get bored. Special mention for the illuminations, throughout the city, very successful.

Christmas market of Mulhouse
Unlike the other Christmas markets in the region, that of Mulhouse is distinguished by the immense fabric that dresses the city center. In total, there is nearly 10 km of fabric! And it is even possible to buy creations made in it. Mulhouse also gives pride of place to creativity, with many clothing workshops. For the more athletic, an ephemeral ice rink is held at the zoo, and a 5km race takes place ten days before Christmas.

Christmas market of Lille
It is in the historic and sumptuous setting of Vieux Lille that the Christmas market is held every year. Meet at Place Rihour, to discover the hundreds of richly decorated chalets which offer many products from the region, but also from more distant regions such as Russia or Poland.

Christmas market of Marseille
We leave the woody and cold atmosphere of the north-east of France a little for the milder climate of the South: in Marseille (read our guide), despite its sometimes hot winters, we know how to celebrate Christmas.
